Fatal BrahMos cruise missiles: joint venture between India and Russia
It is noteworthy that BrahMos is a supersonic missile. Which has been jointly created by India and Russia.
BrahMos is named after the Brahmaputra River of India and the Moskva River of Russia. India has so far made all three versions of BrahMos – water, land and sky.
Apart from this, India has also made BrahMos Mark-2. Its biggest feature is this. That first of all it travels three times faster than sound. Apart from this, it flies at a very low height.
For this reason no radar system is able to track it. Its usefulness can be understood from the way that during last year’s war with Ukraine, news came that Russia had asked for BrahMos from India.
It is noteworthy that considering the firepower capability of BrahMos, Philippines has purchased it.
Philippines has signed a 375 million USD agreement with the Indian government for the purchase of BrahMos missiles. Apart from this, many other countries including Vietnam, Egypt, Korea are also demanding BrahMos from India.
