Pradosh Vrat 2024: According to the Panchang, Pradosh Vrat is observed every month on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha. Pradosh Vrat has special religious significance.

The second Pradosh Vrat of this month is to be observed on 21st February, Wednesday 2024. Since it falls on Wednesday, it is also called Budh Pradosh Vrat.
Trayodashi Tithi starts: February 21 at 11:28 am and
ends: Next day February 22, at 1:22 am.
Pradosh Vrat 2024: Muhurat
Lord Shiva is worshiped in the evening on the day of Pradosh vrat 2024. According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month will begin on 21 February and the date will end the next day i.e. 22 February. In such a situation, Pradosh Vrat is on 21 February. On this day, Pooja Muhurta is from 06:15 pm to 08:47 pm.
Pradosh Vrat 2024: significance
By observing Mercury Pradosh fast, the grace of Shiva is obtained. Also, Mercury planet also gets strength. It is said that couples who want to attain child gems should definitely observe Mercury Pradosh.
On this day, Shiva Sadhana performed in Pradoshkal protects the child from every crisis. For the prosperity of children on the day of Mercury Pradosh fast, offer green cardamom in front of Lord Ganesha in the morning and evening and chant 27 times Buddha pradaye Namah Mantra.
Pradosh Vrat 2024 puja vidhi
- To worship Pradosh Vrat, a bath is done early in the morning and bathed.
- After taking a bath, wear clean clothes.
- After this, Lord Shiva is meditated and takes a pledge to fast.
- Devotees also visit the Shiva temple in the morning but the real worship of Pradosh Vrat is done at night. Maa Parvati ji is worshiped in the evening along with Lord Shiva.
- Offer Panchamrit, Gangajal, Belpatra, rice, smell, flowers, incense, fruits, lamps and cloves in worship.
- It is very auspicious to offer ghee and sugar to Lord Shiva.
- After this, perform the aarti of Shiva ji.
- Now devotees should also chant Shiva mantras.

Pradosh Vrat 2024 story
A man got a new marriage. His wife went to her maternal home after 2 days of marriage. After a few days, he went to her to pick up the male wife. On Wednesday, when he started returning with his wife, the in -law side tried to stop him that Wednesday would not be auspicious for farewell.
But he did not agree and walked with his wife. On reaching outside the city, the wife was thirsty. The man took a lota and walked in search of water. The wife sat under a tree.
After a while the man returned with water, then he saw that his wife was talking with someone laughing and drinking water from his lotus. He got angry. When he reached near, there was no place for his surprise, because that man’s appearance was like that.
The wife also got into thinking. Both men started quarreling. A crowd had collected. The soldiers arrived. He was also surprised to see the women. She asked the woman ‘Who is her husband?’ She became a deed.
Then the man started praying to Lord Shankar- ‘Oh God! Protect us I made a big mistake that I did not listen to the mother-in-law and sent the wife away on Wednesday. I will never do this in future.
As soon as his prayer was fulfilled, the second male became impatient. The husband and wife reached their homes safely. From that day onwards, husband and wife started observing the fast of Mercury Trayodashi Pradosh.
In the face of Mercury Trayodashi fast, Lord Shiva and Shri Ganesh and Mother Parvati are blessed. For this reason, every human should observe this fast.
