Gyanvapi ASI survey– Muslim side gets a shock, petition to stop ASI survey in Gyanvapi campus rejected. Varanasi Court said that orders have already been given to the District Magistrate to preserve the evidence found in the survey.
The court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishvesh rejected the petition of the Muslim side regarding stopping the ongoing Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey in the Gyanvapi complex and the expenses of the gyanvapi ASI survey.
During the hearing on Thursday, the court said that orders have already been given to the District Magistrate to preserve the evidence found in the survey.
On behalf of the defendant Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee, an application was filed in the court to stop the Gyanvapi ASI survey complex. In its petition, the Muslim side had demanded that ASI stop the survey in Gyanvapi without depositing the fees.
It was said that the survey was being conducted against the law. Therefore, the survey work in Gyanvapi should be stopped. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court had fixed September 28 for the order.
On Thursday, the court rejected the petition of the Muslim side and said that the fees of ASI survey is not the subject matter of the defendant Masajid Committee, we cannot hear it. If you want to file a suit then go to the Supreme Court.

When did the Gyanvapi ASI survey start?
It is noteworthy that on the orders of Allahabad High Court, ASI started the survey work in Gyanvapi from August 4. The ongoing Gyanvapi ASI survey was stopped on Independence Day, August 15.
After this, the survey work is going on in a peaceful environment in the presence of police and administrative officers, forces and advocates from both the parties.
ASI will present the survey report in the court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh by October 6. On the other hand, on Thursday, the District Judge’s court also heard the application filed by Rakhi Singh, the plaintiff of the main plaintiff, mother Shringar Gauri, for getting the ASI survey of the sealed bathroom located at Gyanvapi.
A copy of the application was given to the parties related to this petition. After this, the court fixed October 5 as the next date of hearing.
