PM Modi in Telangana will visit Nizamabad on Tuesday to inaugurate a slew of development projects worth over Rs 8,000 crores and address a public meeting organised by the BJP.
His visit is taking place two days after he addressed a rally in Mahabubnagar. Which was the beginning of BJP’s campaign for the upcoming assembly elections.
Nizamabad holds political significance as Kavitha, daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and a sitting BRS MLC, is expected to contest the constituency again in the 2024 Parliament elections.
She lost the 2019 Lok Sabha election to D Arvind, the sitting BJP MP from Nizamabad.

In Telangana on Sunday, PM Modi announced the setting up of a National Turmeric Board for the benefit of turmeric farmers in the country and Telangana.
Establishment of Turmeric Board has been a long pending demand of turmeric farmers in Nizamabad.
During his second visit to Telangana, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the first 800 MW unit of Phase 1 of NTPC’s Telangana Super Thermal Power Project.
It will provide electricity to the state at low cost and boost its economic development, a release said.
It said the state’s rail infrastructure will also get a boost because of the new line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet. And rail projects including electrification project between Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool will be inaugurated.
Seeking to enhance health infrastructure in the state, Modi will also lay the foundation stone of 20 critical care blocks under the Prime Minister – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
