Bhramaramba said that the Vijayawada Durga Gudi Dussehra Festival is being organized at Indrakeeladri from 15th to 23rd of this month under the auspices of Durgamalleshwar Swami Varala Devasthanam.

After consecrating and adorning the goddess at 3 am on the 15th, devotees will be allowed to queue up for darshan at 9 am.
At 9 am, Ganpati puja, Navratri Kalash Pratishapana, Kumkumrachana, Srichakranavavaranarchana and Chandihom will be performed in the Yagyashala on the sixth floor of the Mahamandapam. On other days, darshan of the goddess is allowed from 4 am to 11 pm.

It said that a city festival will be organized with idols of Lord Durga Malleswara Swamy along with Ganga and Parvati at 4 pm from 15th to 22nd.
On 20th, the Chief Minister will present silk clothes on behalf of the state government in honor of Moolnakshatra.
On 21st, there will be a priest meeting at 5 pm on the sixth floor of Mahamandapam and on 22nd. At 5 pm, Veda Vidwat and Pandit Satkar will be organised.
EO said that the Dussehra celebrations will conclude on 23rd at 10.30 am with the Purnahuti ceremony at Yagyashala. At 6 pm, a water bathing program will be organized at Durga Ghat on the banks of river Krishna, where the first couple will be made to sit on a swan.
This is Vijayawada Durga Gudi Dussehra Festival. This festival is the pride of entire Vijayawada. A combination of spirituality, contemplation and celebration is seen in this.
