PM Kisan news: To prevent fraud in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan), crores of farmers will have to lose their installments this time due to the imperative of e-KYC. Last time i.e. when the 11th installment was released, at that time after a month long wait, 2000-2000 rupees were sent to the bank accounts of more than 10 crore beneficiaries by the PM. And this amount was more than ₹ 21,000 crore.
This time the amount of the 12th installment being released today or the installment of August-November 2022 has come down to ₹ 16000. That means Rs 5000 crore less. Accordingly, 2.50 crore farmers will not get the installment today. Let us tell you that more than 12 crore farmers are registered on PM Kisan Portal.
As per the prescribed provisions of PM Kisan Yojana, physical verification of 5% of the beneficiaries is done compulsorily every year. Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar tweeted, Financial benefits under PM-Kisan scheme based on 100% error-free data of beneficiaries uploaded by the State/UTs on the web-portal http://pmkisan.gov.in is transferred.”
The last installment continued to go into the accounts of farmers till July 31. A total of 11,26,30,643 farmers have received the last installment. This time, 2.5 crores have already been reduced and if the central and state governments take similar strictness to prevent fraud, then by November 30, 2022, if the number of installments reaches 10 crores, then it will be a big deal.
