read on the app

Simultala Residential School, established on August 9, 2010 in Jamui district of Bihar on the lines of Netarhat and emerged as a toppers factory in a short span of time, is not able to attract students of Bihar for intermediate education. Alam is that in the current academic session, for enrollment in about 80 percent seats in class 11th, it is not getting applications even equal to the vacancy. Due to which even after the decision of the Education Department, the examination for enrollment is not being conducted here.

The surprising aspect is that very few students who have passed 10th board from this school run from 6th to 12th are staying here. In the session 2022-24, only 26 students, who passed 10th from here, are studying in Simultala Vidyalaya (SAV). Till now 94 seats are vacant here. Every year 120 students pass class X from here. But due to various reasons, students are going abroad for Plus-2 studies. Alam is that every year in the 11th the number of original students here is decreasing. In view of this, for the first time, the education department had decided in the current session to fill the vacant seats in class XI by taking entrance examination from outside students. Applications were invited on 14 September 2022 for 94 vacant posts. But despite extending the last date twice, the best school could not get the application till the vacant seat was filled.

questions arising
Due to not being able to keep our students in the campus till class 12, questions are being raised on the academic system of this largest model residential school in the state. If sources are to be believed, the number of original students in class 11th has not increased suddenly, rather this number has reduced year by year. The number of students decreased from 52 to 39 between 2017-2021 and to 26 for 2022-24 against a vacancy of 120 students.

A fee of Rs 2500 will have to be paid for taking the marks sheet after matriculation and intermediate pass ten years

end of month exam
Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Deepak Kumar Singh admitted that due to less number of applications, there is delay in conducting the entrance examination. There will be an entrance exam at the end of this month and soon after that the enrollment will be completed after getting the result.

At the higher secondary level, it is natural for students not to be inclined towards only board exams. They give more priority to success in competitive and employment oriented examinations of equivalent All India level and International level. – Pro. Shankar Kumar, Founder Principal
